Character name: Eduille
Class: Druid
Level: 80
Professions: Skinning/LW (I've had LW at 400+ for quite some time, but those last points are a pain!)
Spec: Restoration.
Age: 16
Country: Scotland
A little about you: I like to think that I'm more mature than the average sixteen year old girl, so please don't presume anything from seeing my application! I appreciate good music and hope to one day be a costume designer.
Hobbies outside of the game: I love to read books, at the moment I'm soldiering on through the Wheel of Time, and I like playing The Sims 2, for some reason. I learn classical singing and take part in my school's choir and opera club (I'm very aware of how posh that sounds!), and I play the clársach, which is a Scottish folk-music harp. I'm currently bashing my head in, so to speak, attempting to learn Joanna Newsom songs. I'm also currently taking a life drawing class.
How did you find out about this guild?: I've just seen lots of you around all over the place, and after weeks of scouring realm forums and trade chat for a suitable guild, I saw a description of this one, and thought it looked good.
What guilds have you previously been in and why did you leave?: On the Alliance, I've not really been in a guild. At the moment I'm in a "social/leveling" type guild, riddled with OOCers and, to be very diplomatic, immature people who have been getting on my nerves since I joined, but having nowhere else to go, as I don't really know the Alliance too well, I've been stuck there. Let's just say there are people in my current guild called "Freebooz" and "Killhannah." So, I suppose my Horde-side guild history would be more appropriate to talk about here. I play both my characters just as much as each other, but Horde-lady is a lot older. I was in a guild called <Luminous Path> for about a year, with a little blip in the middle, when I ran off to <Sixty Thieves> for a month or so. The roleplaying guild died very soon after I joined, and the <Luminous Path> didn't quite appreciate social members as much as their "core raiding team," which consisted on a few people who could make every single raid, even though I had been a presence in the guild since there were about three members, excluding the four brothers which are their officers. After I decided to move on from there, another guild I joined with a friend fell apart soon after I joined, too. I'm now a social member in <Burning Dawn> on my Horde character, and they're lovely -- I intend to stay with them for a long time!
What makes this the right guild for you?: I like how you are a strict roleplaying guild, while being social. I've found that sometimes people in purely roleplaying guilds concentrate a lot more on their characters, than the actual players. Casual raiding will always be a plus, too!
Are you generally a night or day player?: I'm an evenings-and-weekends player.
Is there anyone in the guild who is able to vouch for you?: I don't know any of you, unfortunately, but I did a Sindragosa/Lichy raid with Níra and Vyala, and they seemed lovely, so I decided to seriously consider you guys. I've had a little chat with Aèla, too, who also seemed like a very friendly and nice person.
Have you read and understood the rules?: IC at all times, be polite and don't be nasty? If so, yep!

IC:
Age: She's pretty old, but not extraordinarily ancient. (I know it's not a number, but I'm not an expert on Alliance lore, and don't want to attach her to any huge events in case I don't fully understand that part in lore.)
Gender: Female
Background history: As a young Elf, Eduille had wanted to grow to glory in helping her race achieve greatness, but she was rather slow to show talents to progress in this way. However, eventually she discovered, through desperation, that she had some magical potential, and came to train in the healing ways of the Druids. But, after hundreds of years of strife in the world, thinking that the ancient Elves were superior and rightfully different from other races, due to their knowledge and advanced civilisation, she realised that true greatness lay in peace and diplomacy, and striving for peace meant collaboration with other cultures.
At present: At present, Eduille is, I suppose, a historian, of sorts. She wants to learn about the other cultures she is allied with, and wishes to improve relations with them, through diplomacy and general do-goodery. She hopes to achieve trust and peace between the various factions known collectively as the Alliance. Although as a person, she is generally very practical and unflappable, and since losing her immortality, there has been an ever-growing dread of her now limited years. She tries her hardest to suppress this fear, and generally does succeed, thankfully.
Why does your character want to join the guild?: As a lone traveller, her goals are somewhat difficult to achieve. She wishes to be part of an order, partially to reach her goals, but mostly just to be part of something great.
To finish, I'd like to apologise for the slight vagueness of my IC stuff, I did try hard to put my interpretation of my character into words, but it is just that, an interpretation. I've never solidly decided on all her facts, as, being so old, there would be many, and I find that I can play without drawing upon aspects of her past, all the time. I'd also like to apologise for my huge text-walls, and thank you for your time!
