Age: 4.500
Gender: Female
Background history:
At around the age of 200 Silandrian began to study in the Druidic arts alongside her brother, taught by her father whom she grew very close to. Like her mother, she was engaged by healing as her brother tapped into his feral instincts.
Silandrian trained with her father for 2,300 years, they became very close and she became very skilled in the art of healing, although her training was cut short by the untimely disappearance of her father. She does not know to this day what happened to him, but she suspects that he is dead.
Amarania sent her son and daughter away from their home to be taught by another Druid trainer in Moonglade, the home of the most powerful Druids in Azeroth. But her powers waned for the grief of the loss of her father and she exited her training after only 100 years.
For 1,900 years Silandrian wandered, growing as a young woman and as a healer. After only 200 years of being alone, she found a male night elf in Darkshore, who was also travelling alone. His name was Ethraan, also a feral Druid like her brother and her father. They fell instantly in love, he swept her off her feet and gave her all the love and lavish attention she so desperately craved after her father’s disappearance from their lives. In a quick decision, they were engaged to be married, after knowing each other only 300 years. The ceremony was small and quaint, and they settled down in a small cottage by the sea. Even though the decision was quick, their feelings for one another were as true and meaningful as any couple in love, and this shone through when she fell pregnant with twins, two girls, both as beautiful as the mother moon herself. They named their daughters after the goddess, Eluna and Elaana. Silandrian gave birth to the twins 400 years after the marriage, and their quiet lives were turned upside down by the baby girls.
Ethraan’s mother, Sathiele, helped look after Eluna and Elaana whilst Ethraan was busy training; she was proud and wise and wouldn’t take any nonsense from anyone. She has never told anyone just how old she is, and if you asked her, she would just reply smartly that you shouldn’t ask a woman her age! However, even though Ethraan was quite busy with training, he always found time to tell his little girls a bedtime story every night.
Ethraan was a Druid of the Claw, and because of this, during The Third War; he was called upon by his fellows to fight in the front line against the waves of the undead in close and deadly combat. He fought bravely and survived only because of his instinctive skill and brutality for quite a while, however, he tragically died after months of fighting, his body finally giving in, leaving his wife, mother and daughters behind.
The whole family was jolted out of the comfortable, fairytale existence they had been living in. The love of Silandrian’s life was gone forever, and she was tossed into turmoil. The night she heard the news she did not know what to do with herself, she cuddled with Eluna and Elaana for weeks before she decided to travel to Ashenvale, where Sathiele lived and asked her to look after the twins until she came back for them. She did not know if she would indeed ever be able to go back to them after losing their father, her lover, her best friend, her soul mate.
In the last 100 years before she encounters her mother and brother again, she encounters a friendly Dwarf, Rakagdi, who sees that she is broken and takes her under his wing, telling her stories of his adventures and all the while, thinking of the place they were heading, Stormwind.
At present: Now Silandrian has met with her mother again, but only briefly before the Shattering and now, according to Aranu, Amarania is gone, either dead or just missing.
Why does your character want to join the guild?: Silandrian has always believed in the greater good and has wanted to fight for what is right, seeing everyone as equals. She believes that the Conclave stands for just that, and it would help her fill her life again.
