Thank you for your application. It fulfills the least of requirements at the very least, but there's still a few places where I feel it's lacking. Most of my issues are RP related, so let's get started. First of all, your name "Lich", seems a little weird, but if you can convince me about the name in an RP sense then I'll say yes. I'd like to know whether it's a nickname he's gotten or if it's his name, then what's his full name for instance. The second thing is your story. It has the basic requirements, but still I'd like it if you would add a few more details to it about his life. We use this part of the application to also get an idea of whether our applicant understands the WoW lore. If you could add a few more things about what he used to do before he was turned and what kind of person he is, that would suffice. My last issue is that I can't actually read anywhere what race your character is. xD You say he is a 120 years old and that's an odd age for any race, except for maybe dwarves. Humans rarely get that old, unless there's a magical reason behind it and mature Elves are several thousands of years old, at the least. One thing to note also: you say your character is fighting against the horde. I hope your character will be okay with drawing back from that open war perspective, as the Conclave is a neutral faction that doesn't necessarily belong to the alliance. It's just a thing you should consider for your character. Last but not least, I think the OOC part of your application suffices well enough and I hope you'll consider some of the changes I've suggested. Feel free to ask any questions should they occur. We're happy to help, especially with lore stuff. If you make the above changes to your IC part of the application I'll happily give you my stamp of approval.

My story begins where my life ended. I was a Married man with 2 children living peacefully in the small town called Sunnyglade. I was a soldier charged in defending the village against bears and other wild animals.
life was peaceful and merry until one day Medivh a sorcerer from Stormwind betrayed us all. He opened a dark portal to a horrifying realm which allowed monsters to come into our world. As they came charging our lands I was commanded to Stormwind to defend its gates against the orcs. We won the battle, the orcs were fleeing and I stayed to ensure the safety of the people of Stormwind. A couple of months later I hear the orcs have started attacking small settlements near black morass, As I fear the worse I ride day and night to Sunnyglade hoping that I am not too late.
As I arrive to my home I see to my horror that I am too late, the town is in fire. I run with all of my power killing any remaining horde in the way until I reached my house. As I ran inside my heart broke. Seeing my wife and children lying dead on the floor, Burning...
Before I could drag their bodies out the roof collapsed and I barely made it out. Seeing my village burn, my family slaughtered I swore then and there that I would destroy them all, that I would not rest until all evil was vanquished.
I make my way to Stormwind and inform Lord Anduin Lothar of the destruction of Sunnyglade and Grand Hamlet. He informs me of the betrayal of Medivh and together with a few other warriors we travel to Medivh's tower to confront him. When Medivh died something was released from his corpse we realized then that he may have been possessed. As we return to Stormwind to the defend the city,it falls at the hands of the orcs. Together with Lord Anduin Lothar we make our way across the Great Sea to the shores of Lordaeron in hope to reclaim what has been lost.
Once we arrived in Lordaeron, King Terenas formed the Alliance of Lordaeron whose army I now belonged. 6 years after the Horde attacked again, this time aiming at Lordaeron. High Commander Anduin Lothar split his army to be able to out manuever the horde and so I was put in the army who was charged to Stay in hinterlands and kill all hordes remaining there. We attacked Zul'dare and ended thereby the invasion of Lordaeron. Although a huge portion of the army continued southwards to help the dwarfes and gnomes. A small portion stayed behind to make sure the horde would not go any further. After victory in Khaz Modan, Uther Lightbringer was sent to Lordaeron to aid us in killing the remaining Horde forces.
Uther had learned that the kingdom of Alterac had betrayed the alliance and destroyed his kingdom with our help.
It was during this time that I met Uther and realized that he and I fought the same. Quickly rushing into battle, placing ourselves in danger to spare our allies. But we were different in one way. He put himself in danger to save others but did not take any unnecessary risk, while I on the other hand did. After the destruction of Alterac he visited my tent with some ale. He convinced me that my life was of worth and He started training me in the ways of the light. from there on every night he would train me and eventually I became a paladin and joined his army called Knights of the Silver Hand.
It was too late, Alteracs betrayal had let the horde into the walls of Lordaeron. We attacked them as soon as we arrived but the battle was hard and not easily won. Disturbances in the horde forces allowed us victory.
Afterwards we marched to the fortress of Blackrock. After an intense fight and the fall of a hero, we managed to defeat Ogrim Doomhammer and his followers. Uther was given the title of Lightbringer by Turalyon and I was given the nickname Lîch because where ever I would go horde would die.
I followed Uther and Turalyon to the Dark portal and fought with them in the final battle to send the orcs back. After defending the Wizard Khadgar the war as it was, was finally over.
After the war I continued with Uther defending the realm, but as time went I became more tormented by the memories of my family. Once prince Arthas joined us and became Uther's apprentice I felt the need to go on my own for a while to properly dig graves for my family even though I had no bodies.
I became obsessed with bringing them back from the dead. I thought if warlocks can command demons to come forth then perhaps there is a way to summon my family back. I began studying dark magic, searching the world for old magic or tomes of knowledge that would lead my way. I finally learned of a incantation that would bring forth a demon powerful enough to give me my deepest desire, to hold my family again. As the demon was summoned It broke from my control and attacked me, laughing at my foolishness. After a dreadful fight I managed to destroy the demon sending it back to where it came from, but not without a cost. I was badly injured and was dying from a curse he had cast on me. I turned to a friend I had met in Dalaran the Archmage Arugal. I had heard from travelers that he had retreated to Shadowfang keep. I traveled there riding each horse til the brink of death only to replace it with another .
As I arrived at Shadowfang keep I had to fight my way through the scourge and wolf-like men. As I reached Arugal I convinced him to help me. He warned me that the spells he is using is not reversible and it will have dire consequences. I told him that I will pay whatever price is demanded if he can cure me, and he did. His curse cured me but a price I never could think of. At day I would be myself but at night I would become a mindless Worgen under his command.
He lost control of the keep as the worgens he had summoned from another realm started killing the wizards. He was lost with grief as I understood his pain I remained at his side trying to comfort him in any way I could. We quickly realized that the worgens had their eyes on the village of Pyrewood nearby the keep. Arugal decided that the only way to save them was to curse them with the same curse as I had in this way we would save them from being massacred from the Worgs.
Sometime afterwards a band of hordes made their way through the keep and killed us all. And then I was risen by the Lich King as his Death Knight maybe Arthas remembered me from the short time we were together but why he brought me back is unknown to me.
I will always hate the Horde for taking my family away, but I will restrain my self from killing them if they do not attack me first. I will instead use all my anger on the Battlegrounds with the Conclave by my side.

I must say, you gave me quite alot more story than I'd expected. xD I was approached by another officer after my reply to you and was told that I should apparently have gauged your application from a PVE perspective. This is not something we have discussed in detail yet, so, for now I will evaluate the application like I've always done. Your long story makes it apparent to me that you have a substantial idea of the WoW lore and the fact that you've managed to write so much gives me an idea that you're dedicated to your application. I can't say I'm too keen on the closeness to some of the "Warcraft Heroes", such as Uther and Arthas, but I easily approve of your story as a human soldier in the battles you mentioned. Before we can let you in we need more answers from the members of the guild after they've read your app. Also, you still might want to change your character's age, but he does seem like a mature, veteran soldier. ^^

I must agree with Tirena on the matter of being quite close to some of the warcraft heroes, but other than that I'd say you have proven more than well enough that you are willing to but effort into your application and the fact that you seem dedicated to wanting to join the guild. As far as I can tell from having spoken with you ingame as well, it seems to me that you would fit in well with the guild so you have my stamp of approval indeed.
*stamps it*

I think this application looks good. You seem to be taking both the lore and the purpose of the guild seriously. Which is good, so I approve of you joining the guild

I agree with what has already been said, that I am not sure I like that your character seems to have befriended a whole lot of the Warcraft Legends on a personal level, but at least it shows that you have good knowledge about the lore. Would you however want to roleplay in the future, a few things might need working out, but if all you want is to PvE/PvP/Socialize, then I find your application to be more than enough!
It was very well written and I am sure that you will fit in quite well. -Dennis

There isn't much to be said that haven't been said already. There is a few things with the Warcraft heroes that makes your character seem to know them personally, rather than just having them as figure-heads. Nevertheless, I am very surprised to see how you used Sunnyglade! Only a handfull who have played the old Warcraft 1 game, knows about that town, and what happened to it (Which you descripe to be razed).
But if you've only signed for the PvE/PvP/Social part, I must say that I'm impressed by your motivation into joining the guild. And seeing as you know this much about the warcraft lore, means that you can easily pick up with RP-related conversations in the guild.
You have my gnomish stamp of approval. I hope to see you soon ^^

Hi again, the thing with the age is that I was not sure of when the first war was when I wrote my profile in the beginning but ofc, I can reduce it to say 60-70? whichever fits the lore better you decide.
I must say I am new to the rpg aspect of world of warcraft, when I wrote my background story I was trying to find a way to make my character become a Paladin and then a Death Knight since that is a prerequisite in the wow lore. Therefore Uther Lightbringer was perfect. I did not mean to make it sound as if I was his direct apprentice but rather that he did take me under his wing and under our travels I learned the path of light from other members of his army and so joined The order of the Knights of the Silver Hand. The reason he did take me in was because of my recklessness in battle and so he wanted to give me meaning in my life. I never really met Arthas more than the average soldier of that time, since I left for my own quest, as he entered our order. If u wish it I can make the changes to my earlier post and resend it.

Well if you do indeed want to try your hand at rp I suggest you do make the changes suggested above mainly for your own sake But otherwise we can always work on that later if you'd feel like rping at some later time.

I don't think you need to do that. After that long story, you have proved your devotion to the guild. That's good enough for me.

I agree with the others. If you intend to perhaps start RPing with us, you could perhaps make the changes to fit our suggestions. But I really think you've already proven your dedication and I believe you'll be an asset to our guild either way. I'm sorry for any confusion I might've caused and I'm glad you applied with us. ^^
